Oh for crying out loud, what's the point anyway? If as ole Al says, "this myth is tragic, that is because its hero is conscious. Where would his torture be, indeed, if at every step the hope of succeeding upheld him?" Let the gloom and doom to the other folks Mr. Camus, we are embarked on a nobel mission.

Can we tell the truth by comparing the lies? Can we come up with something other than what we really need as Shiloh so pointingly expressed? Can we seek to upend the the lives of quiet desperation? Too exciting?? Challenge those around us to ask ourselves the questions, is it blind faith? Or brainwashing? Are they bargining us to another place? It is a slight of hand to raise the veil, to stand alone and be counted. This is the hour my friends, this is the time of our lives when we either accept it or change it. Are you up for it?

"Oderint dum metuant" Stansfield! The search for the Grail begins!!
Still working on getting this up and running; however, I’ve added a few links to the right.

1) George R. R. Martin’s web site. If you are a fan of fantasy literature, you should be reading Martin’s work. I may do a series of reviews on his books later; the short review is that they are excellent.

2) McSweeney’s. I can’t even begin to describe the writings that are offered on this page. But it’s an excellent way to kill a couple hours. For example, Michael Ian Black has an essay entitled “What I would be thinking about if I were Billy Joel driving toward a holiday party where I knew there was going to be a piano.”

3) The Bull Moose Blog. The blog itself tends to lean a little left for me, but generally is right on. Teddy Roosevelt embodies just about everything we need in a president today. I will not debate this point.

That’ll get us rolling; more later. Hopefully, we’ll hear from Sisyphus himself at some point.

Welcome to the Sisyphus At Rest blog. This space will hopefully be filled with the witticisms, thoughts, ramblings, and opinions of two guys who shouldn't have access to a computer.
